Rock Oysters

Under our Rock Oyster label, we supply a selection of Creuse oysters of Irish origin. Irish Creuse oysters are available year-round. The excellent meat content and the balance between tender and sweet are typical of our Rock Oyster. It owes these traits to the bays and areas around Ireland, where it is cultivated. These waters are rich in plankton and minerals – essential nutrients for oysters.

Ireland has a very long oyster history. Oyster shells and fossils dating back 5,000 years have been found on Irish beaches. Oysters are an important part of Irish cuisine. They are on the menu in many pubs, restaurants and market stalls, often accompanied by a delicious pint of Irish black stout.

This oyster has been selected by World of Oysters. World of Oysters is in daily contact with a selected group of passionate farmers who cultivate this oyster variety. For more information and prices, please contact us.
